Preventing Sexual Harassment in a Post "#MeToo" World by Jonathan K Driggs

Jonathan K. Driggs, Attorney at Law, has over twenty-five years of experience focused exclusively on the practice of employment law. He has represented and advised employers of almost every size and industry-type on a wide-range of employment law issues. Jonathan also presents a popular series of employment law-related seminars to managers, executives and HR professionals throughout the country.

Never has the problem of sexual harassment been discussed as openly and frankly as it has been over the past couple of years. As a result, the bar has certainly moved higher for employers when it comes to preventing harassment in the workplace—and the threat of legal liability for harassment has never been higher. As a result, employers are struggling to know how to respond. In this presentation, we will discuss:

    • What exactly has changed as a result of the #MeToo Movement? Has the law changed? What is the practical impact of society’s new expectations of employers?
    • Dialing in right: best practices for preventing, investigating and responding to complaints of harassment.
    • It’s not just about sexual harassment: preventing other types of illegal harassment as well workplace bullying.
    • The right and wrong lessons employers should take from the #MeToo Movement.
